Recommended Beer Pairings
Florida Man | Double IPA | Cigar City | 8.5% ABV | 50 IBU
This Double IPA featuring Citra, Azacca, El Dorado, and Mandarina Bavarian hops is balanced by delicate stone fruit notes from the yeast and a dash of Canadian honey malt.
The hoppy bitterness plays well with the spicy notes from the Cubano Fatty, while the malty backbone pairs great with the roasted notes from the bacon, pulled pork and ham.
Night Warden | Avery | Whiskey BArrel Aged Stout | 8.2% ABV
This flagship stout aged is aged for three months in fresh whiskey barrels. Strong notes of vanilla and caramel from fresh whiskey barrels complement a roasted malt bill that makes Night Warden a smooth and full-bodied stout.
The bold booziness of this beer stands up to the robustness of flavor and complexity of the Cubano Fatty. The massive malt bill pairs perfectly with roast meats.
Post Shift | Pilsner | Jack's Abby | 4.7 ABV | 30 IBU
This refreshing Pilsner is brewed with Bavarian malt and hops, this everyday Pilsner is bright, crisp and refreshing.
The crispness and “scrubbing bubbles” of this pilsner really helps to displace the fattiness of the Cuban Fatty and prepare for the next bite and sip. Also, this crispy brew is perfect to drink while preparing and smoking the Cuban Fatty.
Rockmelon Cantaloupe IPA | 4 Hands | 6.5% ABV
This bright tropical IPA features flavors and aromas of pear, watermelon and stone fruit from the El Dorado hops with cantaloupe fruit — added during fermentation — creates a juicy, hazy IPA with just enough fruit sweetness for balance.
As with most IPAs, the bitterness from the hops will stand up to spice and fat in foods, interestingly enough, this one interplays most with the melted provel cheese at the heart of the Cuban Fatty.
